There’s one in every crowd – the person who declares “I love Bob Dylan” when the gang gathers for drinks after dinner. But not you. You think Dylan sounds like a drowning cat. But here, through five songs drawn from the breadth of his 60-year recording career, we can at least allow ourselves to consider this extraordinary artist and his work with better-educated ears. Dylan does not need our help, of course. No one asked us to make the case for Bob Dylan. The Nobel Prize committee would seem to have taken care of that for us.
