Miami Presents: International Women in Engineering Day - Inventors & Innovators

Join the Miami Alumni Association and the College of Engineering and Computing as we celebrate International Women in Engineering Day with Miami alumna and 2022 18 of the Last 9 Award honoree, Aimee Venot ‘15.  With this year's theme of Inventors & Innovators in mind, Aimee and CEC Dean Beena Sukumaran will discuss important topics like what to do with an engineering degree, climbing the professional ladder, leveraging emotional connections and navigating difficult conversations, and how to solve complex problems through innovation.  Their conversation will center around raising the profile of women in engineering who are changing the field one degree at a time.

Aimee Venot ‘15 is Director of Technology at Ruggable, a rapidly growing startup that designs and manufactures machine-washable rugs, where she leads internal technology teams across software engineering, product management, UX/UI design, data engineering, security, and IT.  She enjoys working on technical solutions to solve customers' toughest, most complex problems, and she is very involved in Chicago’s technology start-up community. Aimee has previously worked with top companies like Google, Apple, Kroger, and Spotify, and has experience working in product design, robotics, automation, people management, and Lean Six-Sigma.

This presentation is free to watch online, but registration is required.
