Each spring MIAMI WOMEN invites the entire Miami community to join in a day of personal and professional development. This event features keynote addresses and panel discussions from inspirational thought leaders, interactive workshops, and networking elements for Miamians at all levels in their careers. Our speakers include amazing Miami women who will inspire you to move forward with authenticity, resilience, and empathy. If you didn't register for the in-person event, the speakers will be streamed for you to enjoy virtually.

Learn about the mind-body connection between the physical heart and its role in psychological resilience. Dr. Denise Brown ’90, emotional resilience practitioner, will lead a highly interactive session rooted in scientific research. Dr. Brown will provide the tools to self-regulate our heart rate to reduce stress and enhance resilience.

Her academic background is diverse, with degrees in Registered Nursing from Miami University, a Master of Business Administration from Thomas More College, a Ph.D. in Values-Driven Leadership from Benedictine University, and she is currently completing a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Chamberlain University.
