The Women's Leadership Summit, hosted by the WSU Alumni Association, is designed to provide Cougs an opportunity to celebrate successes and learn from the experiences of women from WSU. The second annual Summit took place on March 4, 2022 and saluted the 50th anniversary of Title IX, entitled How Far We've Come: A Reflection on the Impact of Title IX.

WSU First Lady and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Chair Dr. Noel Schulz acted as the panel moderator. She was joined by 2019-2020 WSU Alumni Association President and attorney Jane Yung '92; retired WSU Senior Associate Director of Athletics and advocate/national leader in Title IX Legislation Marcia Saneholtz; retired WSU Faculty, women's basketball and volleyball coach, and plaintiff in WSU Gender Equity in Athletics lawsuit Dr. Sue Durrant '62; Former WSU basketball and track and field student-athlete and first female to receive a WSU athletic scholarship Jeanne (Eggart) Helfer '82; Television Play-by-Play voice for Pac-12 Network, FS1, ESPN and Athletes Unlimited and former Studio Host and Anchor at ESPN SportsCenter Cindy Brunson '96; and Senior on the WSU Women's Soccer Team, All-Pac-12 First Team, Captain of Coug's Defense Mykiaa Minniss. These amazing panelists shared their experiences with gender equality and participated in a question-and-answer session with attendees.
