Looking for an innovative way to engage alumni? During this presentation, a panel of three colleges from the US and Canada will share how alumni offices can cost effectively engage alumni with virtual book clubs using free or low cost tools. Book clubs promote lifelong learning, align with institutional missions and can be surprisingly easy to manage in a COVID world. By the end of the presentation, attendees will be able to create a plan for implementing a virtual alumni book club for their institution, regardless of institutional size, alumni relations budget or staffing resources.

Panelists:

  • Tracy Gagnier - Assistant Director of Alumni Relations at SUNY Geneseo
  • Mary Giles - Associate Director of Advancement Communications at Smith College
  • Christine Lee - Associate Director Development and Alumni Engagement at University of British Columbia
  • Zach Rubin - Co-Founder and CEO at Professional Book Club Guru
