Air Force Academy Society of Washington DC - 2021 Virtual Memorial Ceremony

Annually, the Air Force Academy Society of Washington DC remembers and honors all members of the ‘long blue line’ who passed away since the preceding graduation day. Last year the ceremony was hosted virtually due to COVID-19 and this year will also be virtual due to continued COVID-19 concerns. The 2021 Memorial Ceremony will therefore honor all graduates and cadets who have passed since our previous ceremony.

The ceremony is usually held at the Air Force Memorial on graduation day in May and includes a “Roll-Call” for each member as well as a prayer, presentation of the colors, wreath laying, music and a speaker. This year the ceremony is in the form of a video, available to watch on Memorial Day, the 31th of May. The program includes as many of the actions taken at the in-person ceremony as we could arrange, so please feel free to sing along with the Air Force hymn and our Alma Mater.
