Dr. Kevin Basik has spent over 27 years studying and applying values-based leadership development. A proven leader, he is an internationally recognized speaker, published scholar, award-winning instructor, and in-demand developmental expert.

A 1993 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Basik earned a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology and a doctorate in organizational behavior, studying the concept of behavioral integrity as a driver of trust, accountability and performance.

Basik has successfully led in positions ranging from small units to international organizations of over 16,000 members. In addition, he personally delivered highly-recognized leadership development programs for students, faculty, managers, special operations warriors, law enforcement, elite athletes, senior government officials and Fortune 500 corporations and executives. 

He is a 23-year officer veteran of the U.S. Air Force and in his final assignment, he served as one of the top advisors to senior Pentagon officials on issues of professionalism and values-based leadership, impacting over 3.2 million service members. 

Basik is currently the director of the National Medal of Honor Institute, headquartered in the National Medal of Honor Museum in Arlington, Texas, helping inspire Americans at all levels to recognize the hero within themselves and to live and lead with the values embodied in the Medal of Honor.
