Join us for this virtual lecture and conversation with President Marc C. Conner. This spring, President Conner co-taught a Skidmore course titled The Making of Modern Ireland with English Professor Barbara Black, Tisch Chair in Arts and Letters. The culmination of the course was a two-week trip to the west of Ireland to immerse the 23 students in the literature, history, and culture they studied on campus. This was President Conner’s 27th trip to Ireland, many with students, with alumni, or for research.  Join him as he shares his reflections on global education, on the importance of teaching, and especially on the beauty, majesty, and wonder of Ireland as a place and a culture.
