Most people imagine their career following a straight path, but it is filled with twists and turns you never expect. What do you do when you want a new job or career change? How do you identify the suitable industries, roles, and organizations for you? Who do you contact in your professional and personal networks? Asha Aravindakshan, the author of Skills: The Common Denominator, shows you how to determine your transferable skills and present them to potential employers to differentiate yourself. Part inspiration, part how-to, you will hear stories about career changers to learn how to position yourself to make a successful switch, and land the job made for you, whether you are entering the job market or looking to pivot.

About the author: Asha Aravindakshan (@dcasha) is the author of Skills: The Common Denominator. Previously, she streamlined business operations to maximize accountability, growth, and strategic alignment for public and private stakeholders. Asha serves on the Board of Directors for MIT Sloan Club of New York, Alumni Leadership Council for Forté, and as a Venture Partner for Verve Ventures. She’s presented at conferences in the Americas and is the recipient of awards for digital transformation and the future of work.
