The SIUE Lovejoy Library and Alumni Association invite you to an evening of Behind The Scenes: A Life of Public Service with Congressman John Shimkus, ’97. Congressman Shimkus’ lifetime of service, achievements and leadership still impact our community and country today. Last year, Congressman Shimkus and his family donated the former U.S. representative’s official congressional collection to SIUE. The University and Lovejoy Library are honored to curate and steward this impressive collection and public exhibit.

SIUE is grateful to Congressman Shimkus for entrusting us with his collection. We look forward to honoring the impact he has made by preserving his collection and providing research opportunities for students and scholars.
