In our latest Signature Series event, we are pleased to feature Todd Nelson, WYOMING and ARIZONA STATE 1989, to present "Foundations of Finance." Todd has shared this presentation with undergraduate Sigma Chi brothers throughout Arizona for several years, and we are proud to bring his expertise to our broader membership. About Todd: With over 30 years of marketing experience in consumer lending, Todd has been a pioneer in the FinTech sector long before its formal inception. He has held key leadership roles in marketing and partnership programs at prominent institutions such as SunTrust Bank, Lending Club, Capital One, FirstUSA, Car Finance Capital, and Bank One. Notably, Todd played a crucial role in establishing and expanding strategic partnerships at Lending Club and managed a substantial marketing team at Capital One Auto Finance, overseeing annual loan originations exceeding $3 billion. As one of the early proponents of Co-Brand credit cards at First USA, he successfully launched credit card programs for major entities like AOL and Southwest Airlines. His expertise extends to both established FinTech firms and startups, where he has cultivated diverse marketing channels, strategic alliances, and business development initiatives. Todd holds a BA from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, as well as an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Simon School at the University of Rochester. Recognized as an authoritative voice in the industry, Todd is frequently sought after as a speaker and media contributor for esteemed publications including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Forbes, and Bloomberg.
