Networking can be difficult even in normal times, but a pandemic adds a whole new set of challenges.

With the transition from face-to-face interactions to online, networking has completely changed.

The pandemic is forcing us to appreciate the value of social capital and our ability to interact with one another, personally and professionally.

When it comes to networking, breaking out of the norm is especially important these days because, well, so little is normal.

This presentation will cover how to navigate networking in our new normal, including proven tips for successful virtual networking.

About the presenter:

Mikki Wilson '09 is president and founder of Dot Connector Consulting.

"Dot Connector Consulting started as my side hustle while caring for my dad after his massive stroke. I help entrepreneurs and small business owners reconnect time to their bottom line by providing virtual assistance services. Outsourcing day-to-day administrative, marketing, and creative design tasks to a trusted virtual assistant frees up the time needed to grow and scale your business.

My professional experience includes 15 years as a Marketing Director for small businesses in the finance, healthcare, and retail industries. I’ve served multiple non-profit organizations as a board director and tireless volunteer. With this combination of corporate, non-profit, and small business experience, I can add value to your business. I typically understand where most entrepreneurs, owners, and digital nomads need help increasing their productivity."
