The OSU Alumni Association invites you to join us for a live presentation of our World of Nano major at virtual Grandparent University 2020! DESCRIPTION No matter how old you are, learning about the Nano world is exciting! Did you know Oct. 9 (10/9) is National Nanotechnology Day (#NationalNanoDay)? This date, 10/9, pays homage to the nanometer scale, which is nine times smaller than meter. In this experiment, we will introduce you to nanomaterials, their characteristics, their production, and one of their applications many in nanoelectronics! You will make your own LED wand and will learn how metal nanostructures can be used in a circuit. Also, you will see how to draw the metal nanostructure-based circuits to turn the LEDs on. Lastly, you will also take a virtual tour of a nanomaterial synthesis laboratory and see how we make metal nanostructures! MORE INFORMATION Visit ORANGECONNECTION.org/gpu to download the supply list and additional instructions for this major. All virtual sessions are open to Cowboys of all ages and provided free of charge thanks to the support of Legacy Village Stillwater - LegacyVillageStillwater.com.
