What is the future of our democracy? What are the rules that govern voting in Missouri?   How have these rules changed?  County Clerks from Boone County and Greene County, Brianna Lennon and Shane Schoeller, will discuss the status the voting process, voting patterns and the various challenges that their offices face to provide full access for citizens in their counties.

Brianna Lennon, Boone County Clerk 
Brianna L. Lennon has served as the Boone County Clerk since January 2019. Prior to her election as clerk, she served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Consumer Protection Division of the Missouri Attorney General's Office before joining the Missouri Secretary of State's Office under former Secretary Jason Kander. As the Deputy Director of Elections and first coordinator of the Election Integrity Unit in the Secretary of State's Office, Brianna worked closely with local election authorities across the state to ensure that elections were simple, secure, and accessible for voters. 
 
She is a graduate of Truman State University and holds a Master's in Public Policy and a law degree, both from the University of Missouri. Brianna lives in Columbia with her husband, Scott, and two children, Ryan and Isabel.
 
Shane Schoeller, Greene County Clerk
In 2014, Shane was honored to be elected by Greene County voters to serve as their County Clerk.  Now in his second term, it is his privilege to continue working alongside a tremendous team of public servants who work diligently to ensure all Greene County citizens are well served. In early 2015 Shane was appointed by Senator Roy Blunt to serve as a member of the Advisory Board of the federal Election Assistance Commission.  In addition to his work with the EAC, Shane currently serves as 1st Vice-President of the Missouri Association of County Clerks and Election Authorities. 
 
Prior to serving as County Clerk, Shane served in the Missouri General Assembly for three terms as member of the House of Representatives, where, in his final term, he served as the Speaker Pro Tem to the body.  He also spent time in public service early on his career serving as a field representative for Senator John Ashcroft and Senator Kit Bond. He later served as a legislative assistant to Congressman Roy Blunt and as Chief Administrative Aide to Secretary of State Matt Blunt where he developed his passion for fair, accessible transparent and accountable elections.  Shane and his wife, Mendie are the parents of Emma, Dorthy, and Johnny and make their home in Willard, Missouri.
