Presented on: Wednesday, December 16th at 7:00 PM EST
Join the Miami University Alumni Association, Katie Leimkuehler '07, the Executive Producer of Fresh Tracks and her co-producer Jeremy Snyder on Wednesday December 16 at 7:00 p.m. ET for an engaging panel discussion on their documentary, Fresh Tracks.
Fresh Tracks follows the true-life story of Leimkuehler's grandfather, Paul Leimkuehler, who lost his leg in WWII and returns to the world of sports triumphantly after creating the first pair of ski outriggers in the U.S. designed for amputees that earned him a spot in the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame. The film highlights the influence of his legacy on the Paralympic skiers and snowboarders today including gold medalist, Mike Schultz, and gold medalist and narrator, Andrew Kurka, on the evolution of technology in adaptive sports. The documentary was an official selection of the Vail Film Festival, Denver Film Festival and the Twin Cities Film Festival this year.
In this virtual event, we'll learn the behind the scenes of what it takes to make a documentary and how to tell a story that has an impact. Miami alumni friends and family will be given the exclusive opportunity to view the documentary free of charge one week prior to the event.
One week prior to the event, registrants will be sent a link and passcode to access the documentary.
