Join the Miami University Alumni Association and Miami Athletics for a unique opportunity to hear from two Miami head coaches. Tune in for a live interview with Women’s Basketball coach, DeUnna Hendrix and Men's Basketball coach, Jack Owens on Nov. 6 at 12:00 p.m. ET as they discuss Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Miami Athletics. This interview will be moderated by Breanna Robinson, Assistant Athletic Director for Leadership and Diversity. Participants will have the chance to ask questions of both coaches.
Coach Hendrix played a crucial role in spearheading the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion fund for Miami athletics. These funds will be used by Miami Athletics to ensure the ability to sustain an inclusive environment within the department, the campus community and the world.
Coach Owens recently participated in a discussion about social justice with Miami student athletes as a part of Miami Athletics first episode of a new series, "RedHawk Real Talk". This series is an effort to live out our commitment by bringing various students-athletes and coaches together to talk about real issues that are facing our community and have honest conversations from varying view points in an environment that is safe and welcoming of all.
Both coaches are passionate about and champions of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Miami Athletics.
We are excited to continue this new series of Miami Athletics virtual events, presented monthly by the Miami University Alumni Association and Miami Athletics.
