Whether you like it or not, public speaking plays a big part in your development and growth throughout your career. The Miami University Cleveland Alumni Chapter is teaming up with Toastmasters International’s Cleveland Club to offer an interactive public speaking workshop Tuesday, July 14 at 12 p.m. ET. Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. This workshop will consist of a brief presentation from former Cleveland Club President, Maria Shurik, on how to improve your public speaking. Alumni volunteers will then have the opportunity to practice their public speaking with 1-2 minute impromptu speeches (referred to as “table topics) on fun topics and receive feedback from club members. This event is free to attend, but registration is required. If you are willing to be a volunteer, please contact Emily LeFevers at bostiae@MiamiOH.edu for more information.
