Building and maintaining high quality close relationships can not only improve your happiness and mental health, but also physical health. In this presentation, we will explore the evidence for links between relationship quality and physical health, and identify the pathways explaining these links. Relationship behaviors that strengthen and strain relationship quality and health will be highlighted to help attendees identify what they can do to improve their relationships and health.

Dr. Allison Farrell is an assistant professor in the department of psychology at Miami University. She received her PhD in social psychology from the University of Minnesota and completed postdoctoral training in transdisciplinary biobehavioral health research at Wayne State University before joining the Miami University faculty in 2019.
