In honor of the Miami Tip of the Mitt event that has been held annually for over 50 years in Northern Michigan, we are holding a special virtual wine tasting featuring Michigan wines. Alumni from Northern Michigan join yearly to celebrate Miami and connect with each other in this beautiful part of the country. In the state of Michigan, there are more than 13,000 vineyard acres! About 3,050 acres are devoted to more than 30 varieties of wine grapes, both vinifera (old-world grapes like Riesling, Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Pinot Grigio) and hybrid (a cross between vinifera and native grapes). Both varieties of grape make award-winning wines. Join us on Tuesday, July 14th at 7:00 p.m. ET for a virtual Tip of the Mitt event and wine tasting with Jack Keegan CWE, instructor of the class for 25 years. The event will feature wines from Michigan, a fast-growing region for award-winning wines. Jack has chosen the following wines. Feel free to purchase as many as you would like!
