About our speaker:
Alysha C. D’Souza (she/her) is a PhD candidate in Kinesiology at McMaster University, where she studies skeletal muscle, metabolism, and women’s health across the lifespan. A former national-level athlete and experienced personal trainer and strength coach, she currently leads strength and conditioning for several of McMaster’s varsity teams. Alysha is passionate about translating science into action, helping people at all stages of life—especially busy professionals and older adults—build sustainable fitness routines that support strength, cardiovascular health, and overall well-being.
