The McMaster Community is invited to participate in a unique opportunity to attend a fireside chat with our very own Dr. Donna Strickland, Nobel Laureate, (Physics) 2018 while she is visiting campus to celebrate the naming of 'Strickland Way'. A McMaster graduate in Engineering Physics, Dr. Strickland holds the honour of being one of three women to have received the Nobel Prize in Physics.

Moderated by 4th year Chemical & iBioMed Engineering student, Shayna Earle, and 2022 Chemical & iBioMed Engineering alumna, Mosana Abraha, Dr. Strickland answers questions posed by students, faculty and staff about resilience in research pursuits, innovation and societal impact, being female in STEM and more.

We invite you to enrich the conversation with your questions and participation. We will also hear from Dr. Myron Scholes, McMaster Economics graduate and Nobel Laureate (Economics) 1987 in a pre-recorded interview. Dr. Scholes was also honoured with the naming of 'Scholes Way' on campus.
