Ask A Scientist: Out of This World: Space, Galaxies & Black Holes with Blake Ledger

Space is infinite but there are so many interesting things we can't see with our own eyes like black holes and other galaxies. About our speaker: Blake Ledger is a first year Masters student in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at McMaster University. He studies astronomy and astrophysics, but his main field is radio astronomy. As a radio astronomer, he use large telescopes to study the properties of gas and clouds found in other galaxies. Specifically, he tries to understand the components of this gas, and how that might give us an idea of temperatures and densities in these other galaxies. He is passionate about teaching, learning, and outreach, and always excited to answer questions about the wonders of space!
