About the Presenters: Andy Gogates is an employment/recruiting professional who retired as the Manager of Corporate Relations for Rutgers Business School, Newark, NJ in 2019. Previously he was the founder of The Gogates Group, Inc., a retained Executive Search Firm whose clients were in the alternative investment community and completed assignments for hedge funds, investment banks, family offices and private investment funds. He began his career on Wall Street as a recruiter for US Trust, Goldman Sachs and Bankers Trust (now Deutsche Bank). He holds an MPA degree from Rutgers School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA, 2015) and a Bachelor of Arts degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College. Rick Hearin is a veteran career education professional who is currently the Executive Director of University Career Services at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ. Prior to Rutgers, he was the Director of the University Career Center at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD. He also held similar positions at Miami University, Oxford, OH and Ohio Northern University. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University and he completed graduate work in college student personnel at Bowling Green State University. He was a Captain in the US Army serving in both domestic and international assignments.
