'Tis the season for hosting gatherings and spreading holiday cheer! Whether you are having the gathering at your home or simply need to bring a dish to pass, you will be the hit of the party with these tips and techniques.
 
Your guides will go through various food styling techniques and also offer the perfect sweet and savory pairings.  The Doreys will teach you presentation styles for small to medium size parties as well as options for budget friendly gatherings as well.  

Interested in following along and preparing your own board while receiving instruction? A week prior to the presentation you will be emailed a shopping list so that you will have all the items needed for the night of the event! (*Not necessary for participation)


Meet your guides:



Amy Dorey, 2006 Master of Business Administration
Amy currently serves as the Hospitality Management Program Director in the College of Business at Ferris State University. Amy also teaches courses in Hospitality Management including Sanitation and Safety, Dining Room Management and Special Event & Meeting Planning. She focuses instruction on real life applications based upon her experiences in the hospitality industry and is a Certified Hospitality Educator through the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institution. 




Steve Dorey, 2018 Project Management Certification, College of Business

Steve currently serves as the Culinary Operations Manager at Ferris State University. He is responsible for the financial operations and menus for all Ferris State dining centers. Previous to FSU, Steve served as the Corporate Chef for Spectrum Health overseeing their 13 hospital's patient and retail food services. Steve has been an Executive Chef in the industry for over 23 years at various Michigan fine dining restaurants and conference centers.
