A Career Cracking Cases: Insights from a Veteran Investigator

Jack Horvath began his law enforcement career as an officer with the Downey Police Department. After working there for approximately five years, he transferred to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office Bureau of Investigation where he spent most of his career as a district attorney investigator. While employed there he rose to the rank of captain. After retiring from Los Angeles County, Jack served as an assistant chief investigator with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office Bureau of Investigation and as the Fraud Division Chief with the California Department of Insurance. During his time as a district attorney investigator, he worked on a variety of assignments and developed an expertise in white collar matters. Jack earned his B.S. and M.S. in criminal justice from the California State University, Long Beach. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the California P.O.S.T. Command College.
