Saint Ben’s @ Home is back with deep-dive conversations from campus with the key players at the heart of it all. Coming in March, moderator Heather Pieper-Olson (CSB VP of Institutional Advancement) will sit down with CSB and SJU Provost Richard Ice to talk about ongoing and upcoming changes in the curriculum and co-curriculum designed to position both Saint Ben’s and Saint John’s for strength in the face of changes and challenges in higher education.
As Richard sees it, “The future of higher education is bright, provided that we pivot and innovate. We need to embrace new understandings and dynamic approaches to the liberal arts. … The academic heart of a college is no longer going to be measured by the classes we offer, but by the learning outcomes and competencies that students are required to demonstrate.”
