Few people could turn a phrase and hit a baseball like Yogi Berra. It may have been unintentional when he famously said, “When you come to a fork in the road, take it.” But, for many of us, at certain stages of life and career, we search for that proverbial fork and are unsure what to do when we reach it. In the fall of 2022, Heaney made the most important and impactful career pivot of his life. If he can do it, so can you.
Heaney has often been asked by friends and family how he went from a 30-year career in direct marketing consulting and sales to a career in higher education and now teaching as well. There may not be a perfect answer or roadmap, but there is great fun in talking about it. This webinar will provide advice on how to change your career path and find the next opportunity.
Heaney is the director of corporate engagement and an adjunct professor at Boston College. He is the former chair of the Binghamton University Alumni Association’s New Hampshire Chapter and received his master of science in sports management from Southern New Hampshire University in 2022. In his days at Binghamton, he was a RA in Newing College where he met his wife Maria (Hobbs). Their daughter, Erin, is also an alumna, Class of 2016.
