Join the College of Creative Arts Department of Architecture & Interior Design chair, Mary Rogero and faculty for a discussion about their work with the Miami University Center for Community Engagement in Over-the-Rhine, and student and faculty work with the Wescott House and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater.  The group will highlight recent student successes in the Solar Decathlon, a collegiate competition that has inspired students worldwide to enter the clean energy workforce, as well as provide updates from the Graduate program and the Interiors Program.

 

Mary Rogero is Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture and Interior Design at Miami University.  She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Wright State University in 1985 and a Master of Architecture from Miami in 1989.  She has received many Dayton AIA Design Awards, and is the President of the Passive House Alliance US (PHIUS) board of trustees. 

John Blake, AIA, NCARB is Interim Director of the Center for Community Engagement in Over-the-Rhine, Coordinator of Community Projects, and Design-Build Studio Instructor.  John received his Bachelor of Arts in History, and a Masters of Architecture from Miami University.

John Reynolds is Professor of Architecture at Miami University.  He received his Bachelor of Architecture With Honors from the University of Notre Dame and Master of Architecture from the University of Virginia.  John has been an advisor to the Burton J. Westcott Foundation Board and Director since 2008 and is the director of the Miami University + Burton J. Westcott House Design Studio. John has served as an advisor to Fallingwater since 2003, was the first director of the Fallingwater Institute, and now directs the Miami University + Fallingwater Design-Build Studio.

Mary Ben Bonham is Associate Professor and Coordinator for the Interior Design Program at Miami University.  She earned a Bachelors of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.  Mary Ben is a member of numerous professional organizations, including her service as a Board Member and Partner Educator Liaison for the IES Cincinnati-Louisville Chapter since 2011.

John Humphries is Associate Professor, Director of Architecture Graduate Studies, and Graphics Coordinator for the Department of Architecture and Interior Design.  He earned his Bachelors of Architecture University of Texas, Arlington, and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Texas, Arlington.  John is a member of several professional organizations including the Interior Design Educators Council and International Digital Media and Arts Association.
