Join us for a fascinating conversation with Michael Connor ‘94, Head of Generative AI for Retail & Consumer Packaged Goods for Amazon Web Services, and Professor Emeritus Jim Kiper about advancements in generative artificial intelligence and how it’s impacting and transforming industries across the board.  Michael will share his take on recent news and developments in the field, as well as explain how companies are organizing and innovating around generative AI, using the technology responsibly, and the ethical implications of its use.  The presentation will include exciting live demos showcasing the power of this kind of technology.


Michael Connor ‘94 works with Amazon Web Services and is the head of the global Consumer Goods industry group. Michael's role is to lead the portfolio of products that address the needs of the CPG industry and act as segment lead for the industry. Michael brings a wealth of Consumer Goods experience from his previous role as Chief Architect for Coca-Cola Freestyle where he led Digital Innovation, Data Science & Analytics, and Enterprise Architecture. Michael also led Coca-Cola North America's consumer and Enterprise cloud migrations as part of a digital transformation and while leading the innovation group in Coca-Cola, the IP developed represented three of the company's top four innovations in 2020. While at Coca-Cola, Michael was a five-year member of the Amazon Web Services Customer Advisory Board and his passions include artificial intelligence, large language models (aka ChatGPT), automation, privacy, culture, and ethics.
