Immerse yourself in an evening of intrigue, history, and exceptional bourbon as Miami alumnus Phil Kollin ‘00, the Founder of Phil Talks Whiskey, returns with an enthralling event and shares captivating stories about America's Native Spirit.

During this virtual tasting presentation, we'll talk about some of bourbon's most legendary heists, colorful characters, and complicated criminal plots! Phil will showcase a few nefarious whiskey criminals including infamous Cincinnati bootlegger George Remus, President's Grant White House insider Oliver Babcock and others. We'll even discuss the culprit behind the 2013 "Pappy Heist" that drew national attention.

Join us for a look at the crimes that a few got away with...and the unsavory schemes that got others caught red-handed!

Phil will also spend some time showcasing a handful of modern-day bourbon bottles found on the shelf that are a true "steal" - tremendous whiskeys that can be purchased just about anywhere for $25 or less.

Bring your own bottle and sip along with a virtual tasting focusing on whiskey history that will be so fun…it would be a crime to miss it!

Below is the list of bourbons that Phil will discuss:

  • Old Forester 1910 Old Fine Whisky
  • Knob Creek Small Batch Bourbon
  • Larceny Bourbon

This event is free to attend, but registration is required. You must be 21+ to participate.
