Miami CLE is excited to announce Mike Marhofer '87 as our first speaker for the 2023 Redbrick Leadership Series. Join us on March 2 at 12:00 p.m. as we talk to Mike about his time at Miami, how he shaped his career path to be a leader in the Cleveland business community, and insights from his role as a Partner in Benesch’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Securities practice.

Mike Marhofer '87 is a Partner at Benesch Law in Cleveland, OH and serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group. Mike focuses his practice on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures for a wide range of companies and industries, including public companies, private equity firms, independent sponsors, family offices, private companies, and individuals.

His experience with private equity funds, independent sponsors, and family offices helps him assist clients in capital formation matters,  mezzanine capital financings, and venture capital transactions. Clients also rely on him to provide day-to-day counseling on a full range of corporate, financing, and transactional topics and he regularly negotiates and drafts all types of commercial contractual arrangements.

Mike has been listed on “The Best Lawyers in America,” for Mergers and Acquisitions Law since 2017, Chambers USA Leading Lawyers for Corporate and M&A since 2010, and was listed on Ohio Super Lawyers from 2018 to 2019.

After graduating from Miami, Mike received his MBA from the University of Akron and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law.
